Benign Growth Removal

Removal Options

If a benign skin growth is bothersome, we offer several treatment options to safely remove it, depending on what it is.
Options include:

  • Cryotherapy: Freezing the growth with liquid nitrogen to make it fall off.

  • Excision: Surgically removing the growth, usually performed for moles, lipomas, and larger growths.

  • Electrosurgery: Using electric current to destroy the growth, common for seborrheic keratoses and skin tags.

  • Laser Removal: TBD

When to See a Dermatologist

While most benign growths don’t pose any health threats, it’s essential to have them evaluated by a board-certified dermatologist, especially if you notice changes in their appearance. Regular skin checks can help ensure your skin stays healthy and that any suspicious growths are promptly addressed.

If you have any skin growths that are causing discomfort, or if you’re simply interested in removing them for cosmetic reasons, visit our dermatology office for expert evaluation and treatment. We’ll work with you to determine the best approach to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.
